Case Study: Real Estate ERP – Construction Management System (2017)

Challenge

In 2017, I noticed that many construction businesses were using Excel or separate tools to manage materials, workers, and money. This made their work slow and not clear, with important details often getting lost. I decided to build a single system to help them manage everything in one place. As a solo founder, I handled everything myself.

Solution

I created Real Estate ERP, a tool to manage construction projects more easily.

  • Designed and developed the backend (APIs), frontend (web UI), and database.

  • Hosted it on AWS to make it fast and secure.

  • Included features like material tracking, worker management, GST billing, and dashboards.

  • Spoke directly with users to understand their needs and improve the product.

Impact

Even though the product didn’t succeed in the market, I learned a lot:

  • Built the first version (MVP) in 4 months and the full version in 9 months.

  • Learned the importance of product-market fit and customer feedback.

  • Gained hands-on experience in building secure and scalable software on my own.
