Case Study: Building SDKs and Tools for a HIPAA-Compliant US Secure Email Platform

Challenge

The client had a working email platform with a secure API. But to help more developers use their service easily, they needed:

• SDKs in multiple programming languages (C#, Java, Node.js, Ruby on Rails, Python, Perl, PHP)

• A Mulesoft connector for enterprise use

Their internal team was already busy with their main product and couldn’t take on this work without slowing down their core roadmap.

Solution

I came in as a consultant and handled the full development of all these tools by myself, without needing support from their internal team. My work included:

• Learning the existing API and system quickly.

• Building SDKs in all requested languages.

• Creating a Mulesoft connector for integration with other tools.

• Writing clear documentation to help other developers use the tools.

Impact

• 7 new SDKs delivered in under 9 weeks, all compliant and ready for use

• The core team stayed focused on their main product
