A US-based HIPAA-compliant secure email platform had a working API. To grow adoption they needed SDKs in 7 programming languages plus a Mulesoft connector for enterprise clients.
The internal team was already fully committed to the core product roadmap. Taking on this work would mean slowing down everything else. They needed someone who could come in, understand the system fast, and deliver everything without pulling anyone off their main work.
What I Did
The founder needed this delivered without pulling his core team off the roadmap. I stepped in as the sole owner - no handholding, no status-check meetings.
- Learned the existing API and system quickly without needing extensive onboarding from the internal team
- Built SDKs in all 7 requested languages: C#, Java, Node.js, Ruby on Rails, Python, Perl, PHP
- Created a Mulesoft connector for enterprise system integration
- Wrote clear documentation so other developers could use the tools immediately without support
- Managed everything end to end so the core team stayed focused on their roadmap throughout
